A Novel Process is a podcast about what it's really like to write a book, told in real-time. The host May Jasper is currently writing her first book, every two weeks she'll make an episode about how it's going. The surprises, blocks, celebrations, and creative currents are all investigated in May's signature witty and relatable docu-style reporting.

ABOUT MAY JASPER

May Jasper is a published playwright, podcaster, storyteller and internationally touring performer. She wrote and produced eight plays with SNAFU theatre company, including Murder at Warrabah House, Speaking and Death’s Variety Hour.  She has produced audio documentaries for podcasts like Random Article, Human Ordinary and The Artery. 

As a performer, May has toured Australia and the world with shows like May and Alia do Pirates! (of Penzance) and the critically acclaimed not a very good story, and is also a regular company member with the Melbourne Shakespeare Company.  She won the 2017 Melbourne Moth Grand Slam, and in 2019 she hosted a talk show on RMITV called Mainland Tonight.  She is currently in the process of writing her first novel.
